Christmas Portraits 2010

In the midst of decorating, shopping and baking I took a crazy night off to get my little cupcake's Christmas portraits done! She did so good, didn't smile all that much, bored for a few shots but as always delivered a one in million shot for us. I love her bow and her innocent, angelic face! I can't wait to share her pics with everyone!

December 2010

We are preparing for the holidays and wow, this year is a cold and snowy winter! We are getting use to wearing a hat and gloves every day and starting to see signs of Christmas around the house. It's not so easy decorating a house with an almost toddler, working mom and crazed dad. I have so many decorations busting at the seam and trying to find time to do it. Our little cupcake is getting into lots of mischief at home and loving every minute of it. I hope she knows that Santa is watching!

Oh and she is still putting her babies to bed every night, lol

Thanksgiving at Nanny and Pampi's - 2010

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! What a glorious day, let us give thanks for our family, friends, health, jobs, good days and bad days! This is such a warm, fuzzy feeling kind of day! I love it and we spent the day with my family at Nanny and Pampi's house. It was nice to sit back and relax with good ol Nanny cooking! The day was great with family and cupcake spent most of her day dancing in her new dress, oh how she loves a new dress.

Wishing you and yours a thankful day!!

Happy 65th Birthday Nanny!

This year we celebrated Nanny turning the big 6-5! My sister offered to host this glorious event so we all gathered for some good food, laughs and family bonding for the woman who makes it all happen! All kidding aside my mother is so much more than a mother. She is a mom, friend, peacemaker, therapist, audience, "franc" and always there! I'm not sure where I would be without my mom! I love her so much and am so grateful for everything she did/helped/made/taught me in my lifetime. Now as I enter parenthood she is there for so many other aspects of my life. I wish you the happiest birthday, mom! Enjoy us celebrating you!!!

I LOVE YOU!

Halloween 2010

This is our very 1st Halloween that our little cupcake and help us hand out candy. We live in an 80+ home development so we have lots of houses to hit and lots of candy to give out, tons of kids too! Nanny and Pampi were going home but cupcake kept standing by the door, we think she was looking for them. We were going to take our little berry out for some candy but we only made it to one door before she saw all the kids coming! We decided to stay home and let the excitement come to us! Our little berry had so much fun handing out candy to all the princesses, Woody's, storm troopers and characters. We had so much fun, can't wait for next year!

Our first Halloween Party - 2010

Halloween is here! By now you know how I feel. I decided to have our friends and kiddies over for a proper party. Well, kinda hard since all the kids are still babies, don't eat candy and can't follow direction. So, we had an all you can eat costume dance party. It was so much fun and in true cupcake fashion she had a few costume changes.

Let me back track a bit. I was at work one day talking to the ever fabulous Skecher and she told me that her mom made all of her halloween costumes. Yep, lots of moms "make" costumes but when I looked through her photo album she shocked the crap out of me. Her mom really made costumes. I mean this woman takes creativity to another level. I mean, she made herself the Stay Puff Marshmallow from Ghostbuster's when she was pregnant! I should scan the pic in. Anyway, I have a list of names I call my cupcake and chickie is one of them. (Side side note, I call my nieces and nephews "my little chickens" so chickie was inevitable). Soooooooo, fabulosity's mom made my little chickie a Chick! It was ridiculously cute and she put so much time and energy into it. I'm not sure if I ever fully thanked her however I will always be grateful for what she did for me. Everyone at work ooohed and ahhed when they saw the costume. I even had to transport it via Amtrak (did I ever mention my typical commuting day) and was stopped by so many people laughing and pointing about my chickie's chick costume.

We had a great Halloween party and a fun time handing out candy on Halloween. Chickie only wore her costume for a few hours and quickly changed back into her comfortable strawberry costume!

Remember how I talked about losing some pics and moving this site to another site.......well, I don't think I have a chick pic!

Play Time

We are learning so many things at school and having so much fun this Fall season. Little cupcake loves her baby dolls and horses, everything horses! Our little cowgirl enjoys dress up and is starting to really get into everything girly! Oh and anything crafty. It is so cute to watch her develop into a sweet little girl. She still looks like her daddy however she is active like her momma!

Oh and side note, our little cupcake started lining up her baby dolls every night, face down. She would then grab a dish towel and put towels over their heads. We were extremely concerned because she would collect her people every night and hide their heads. We couldn't talk to her about it because she was so young nor wanted to bring it up to others in a light hearted converstaion:
Me: "isn't it funny when your child kidnaps a baby, throws a towel over it and calls it a night"
Others: awkward silence.

Welllllllll, low and behold we found out that our little cupcake was imitating how her teacher tucks everyone in at daycare. Whewwwww, we were getting very concerned. Actually, we knew that all along (wink)
