Primping for the big day

Our sweet girl was freed of original sin and welcomed into God's family on Sunday, September 6th. We had a wonderful day celebrating the first of many monumental events for our sweet girl. Godparents, my sista and Hubby's middle brother, Uncle J stood by cupcake's side and vowed to guide her in life along with showering her with gifts and paying her college tuition - kidding.

Before we get to the big event we have to start with the early AM activities.  Cupcake awoke that morning with a twinkle in her eye, almost as if she knew it was going to be a big day! Early that morning she woke up with her usual big smile and a slight giggle. Hubby and I hurried around the house cleaning up and making sure that everyone (puppies) and the house would be ready for her big day.

Nanny and Grandpa were already here from the prior night. My sista, Uncle Cha Cha, S and Screech arrived next all dressed to the nine's and excited to help get our sweet girl ready. Uncle J, Aunt S and their 4 kids arrived and the fun was ready to start.

Our sweet girl started her big day with a spa treatment of a deep scrub, manicure, pedicure, facial and head scalp relaxing treatment. Next up....dressing for the occasion. Let's just say that she is not fond of dress up. I hope she doesn't stay this way because I have tons of outfits to use.

On a side note our sweet girl was in her room laying in her crib. Nanny, my sista and my niece A were talking to a frustrated sweet girl and eventually stood her up so she could see what was going on in her room (too much excitement). Well, to our surprise our sweet girl was standing on her own and looking at everyone around. IT WAS PRICELESS! Nanny always tells Maddie to "hold on" and she did! Is she growing and hitting milestones right before our eyes!

Eventually Nonna, Pop, Uncle Brotha, Aunt Wahlberg, Boo, K-man and Tink arrived. Everyone feasted on a light breakfast while the rest of us prepared our sweet girl for the day.  She cried a long time while we tried to dress her, after awhile we realized that she was due for a nap and a snack. Aren't we all!

After quite a long time Mommy, Daddy and our sweet girl were dressed and ready for their close up. Enjoy the pre-Christening pics. The event is only beginning!
