OMG - it's Christmas morning and there is so much energy in our home wondering if the big guy in the red suit made a visit. Let me back track a bit. Nanny worked really hard teaching Princess "ho, ho, ho" and telling her stories about "the big guy, in the red suit". So we explained to her who Santa is and what he does. I did notice that she was extra good the past two weeks; sleeping through the night and eating her fruits and veggies.
We came home from Nonna & Pop's, put Princess to bed and decided to chill out knowing that Santa would bring our good girl some gifts. Thank goodness for Santa because I couldn't imagine having to provide all the gifts AND putting them together, that takes a lot of work. Hubby and I laughed imagining all the arguments that would take place across the country on Christmas Eve.
Well........Christmas morning is here and we greet our little angel in her crib and begin our trek downstairs to see the wonderful gifts left behind by Santa. To our surprise Princess was better than we thought. Santa brought so many gifts for her and even managed to slip in a few for Mommy and Daddy. I think that was our reward for dealing with colic this past summer.
Princess was confused about all the new toys but had no problem digging into everything. Apparently Fisher Price threw up in our family room (just like the rest of the homes across the country with little ones). We had so much fun watching Princess play with her new door, puppy, piggy bank and little people. So much fun for one little girl. Santa even brought a few dolls for her to play with. She loved them so much that she invited them to breakfast and they all took a nap in the highchair! I think we have a few years of baby dolls hanging out with us!
After the excitement of Christmas morning we decided to sit back and enjoy a family breakfast before heading to church (it was delicious but I had a massive nose bleed that held up activities for the day).
After a glorious mass we decided to chill out before heading to Uncle J & Aunt S's house for Christmas dinner. A good nap and a few short Christmas movies put us into the spirit, on we go!
We are so happy and grateful to celebrate Princess's 1st Christmas. This is truly a magical time for everyone!
(Side note: please excuse the photos you may see, Hubby and I were up all night watching movies)
