Hubby and I ventured South (MD) to visit our friends B&M to blow up the holiday! We had a great time with all of our friends, met some new friends too!
B&M had quite the spread. Food, drinks and plenty of fireworks, they gave Macy's a run for their money. A few even tested their guitar skills playing Guitar Hero. Hubby won't quit his day job but did enjoy pretending to be Brett Michaels/Richie Sambora for the night.
Thanks for a great 4th of July!
Oh, on a side note, Hubby and I were driving home and before we knew it a SmartCar blew past us at 80 miles an hour. Have you seen these little vehicles? We saw a bunch of them in Europe last year (I sound so worldly don't I, pish-posh lol) We were shocked. I didn't think those match box cars could actually go that fast. It brought back memories of the early 90s during the Rodney King trials, can a Hyundai Excel really go 110 miles an hour? Anyway digressing as usual. Matt and I were in utter shock with the little blue SmartCar whizzing past us. Matt being Matt thought this was the time for a wild goose chase and followed the SmartCar. I think the questionable part of the drive was when Matt whipped out his camera to take a picture. I was embarrassed/worried. Worried because Matt was driving and took a picture. Embarrassed because the SmartCar people may see what we were doing and think that we were Hillbillies in awe scratching our head, "Gee Pa, what in the world is that." Eventually the SmartCar picked up speed and blew past us. Matt giggled like a school girl all the way home while driving and looking at his new favorite picture.
*** Do not try this at home. Hubby is somewhat of a trained profession. He drives like an idiot on any given day and at least 2 dozen people can vouch for this. The fact that I posted this picture only encourages his behavior.
