You're making Communion, so am I!

Who knew that May 3rd is a popular Communion day. Well, it is!

My nephew K-man and my niece McBeal had the privilege of scoring another sacrament on their Catholic badges. Unfortunately we were not able to attend K-mans Communion but we will be traveling to upstate NY Memorial Day weekend to help him break in his new sacrament. Brotha and SIL are having a party for him at their home, full schbang and when asked if K-man would be in white guinea T, white shorts and white dress shoes they laughed at me. Not sure why that was so funny. The boy can't be expected to wear his suit, it will be hot outside but he should alter his uniform. Digressing again. K-man made his communion and even had a reading to do. Apparently he is quite the public speaker. I think we have the next Obama on our hands, well, the next White Obama.

My niece McBeal technically made her Communion first, since she did receive the sacrament at 9am, K-man was scheduled for the afternoon seating. Hubby and I did go to the church to watch McBeal take the next step to growing her Catholic wings. The mass was very nice. McBeal looked like a princess, a mini-bride and was very excited about the whole day. The priest spent time during his Homily asking the kids questions and McBeal always shot her hand into the air to be the first to answer! After the mass we all went back to their home to celebrate McBeal's big day!

Congrats you Communion receiving Catholics. We are very proud of you. You are on your way!
