Happy Halloween - 2007

HALLOWEEN IS HERE!!! I just love Halloween. This is my favorite time of the year. Halloween is the kick-off to all holidays. Pumpkins, trick-or-treating, goblins, apple picking and a chance for me to use my pumpkin plates! I become insanely happy with each pumpkin light I place into the ground, giddy as a school girl with each ghost pounded into the ground. Hubby thinks I'm a freak but secretly I know he loves this time too.

This was our first year home together with the pups. Barney refuses to degrade himself by wearing a costume. I did buy him a Darth Vader costume but surprise, surprise, he wouldn't wear it. Long story short Hubby did wear the mask but I asked him not to answer the door with it on because he would scare the kids and parents would think he was into freaky things - ewwww! Kelcey allowed me to dress her that afternoon, what a good little pup! She was the cutest pumpkin in the county. Barney did sit still long enough to take a picture with his devil ears on.

We all had a fun day giving out candy and seeing all the cool costumes. Boy, we had lots of Storm Troopers parading through our neighborhood. I mean, I thought they looked like Buzz Lightyear but what do I know. I only had one brat who refused to open her bag and let me throw candy in. I knew what she was up to, I know her kind. She wanted to see if I had good or bad candy. Since I was down to the bottom of the barrel I did have bad candy but I wouldn't give in. If she came earlier she would have received mounds of Peanut Butter cups and Hershey bars. It was getting late and I was down to the wire and this girl wouldn't give in. I made that punk rocker open her bag, I told her that I can stand here all night. I almost asked Hubby to bring out the dogs because she kept answering back. Her parents (or siblings, not sure who they were) stood there shocked at her behavior. Well, maybe it was my behavior but seriously, don't go toe-to-toe with me. In the end I won and I kept my fist clenched while throwing Laffy Taffy's in her bag. That Madonna wanna-be will never know how crappy my candy was!

Here are some pics of my nieces and nephews too! Smith pics to follow. If you have any pics you want to post on my site send them to me! Happy Halloween!
